Welcome to the new server, everyone!  Thanks to the good folks at Synet Systems, bandwidth issues and annoying GeoCities banners should be a thing of the past.  Among other things, Synet Systems specializes in web application development, so be sure to check them out if you're interested.

I've made minor updates to the site, mostly to reflect recent updates in software.  In addition, I've finally updated the downloadable version of my video guide.  Enjoy!

I'm writing this update to let everyone know that I haven't abandoned the site.  Unfortunately, I've just been too busy to update my pages.  I especially apologize to those who e-mailed me within the last month and haven't received a response.  This semester at school has been my busiest one ever.  Just within the past few weeks, I had to design and simulate several (relatively simple) CPUs, design and implement a robot-controlled model truck assembly facility, create an inter-thread communication facility in C++, and do other things that make me feel like I'm living in a futuristic wonderworld.  Fortunately, my final exams will be over in a week, so I'll try my best to update the site and answer my e-mail then.  Now if you'll excuse me, I have to go work on the portable power amplifier I'm building for my electronic circuits course.  Whee!

Happy new year, everybody!  For this update, I've added information about bob deinterlacing and field dominance to the Interlacing and Classifying Your High Resolution Video pages.

I also took Codec Comparison #2 offline.  I had to do this because I'm continually exceeding my transfer limit for GeoCities.  I will do the same to Codec Comparison #1 unless I receive complaints.  I don't think those pages are too important, and they just use up bandwidth.

Obviously, I still haven't settled on a new web host.  I'm a bit afraid to update the downloadable guide without a good host because I'll go way over my bandwidth limit.  Hopefully I'll find some free time and a good host soon.
